Actor Jake Cuenca on Saturday night was arrested after his SUV allegedly hit at a police vehicle in Mandaluyong City.
According to a police report, the actor's SUV bumped the police car at around 9 p.m. and allegedly drove off instead of stopping.
"Hinabol ng mga pulis natin hanggang nakarating sa area na ng Pasig dito sa Shaw Boulevard, Eastern Police District 9EPD) director Police Brigadier General Matthew Bacay said.
During the chase, police fired at one of the tires to disable the vehicle, however, a stray bullet had hit a ride-railing driver. The driver was brought at a nearby hospital and it was reported in stable condition.
According to Bacay, nothing illegal was found inside the actor's car and the SUV is now in the custody of police.
Mandaluyong police will file charges of reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property against actor Jake Cuenca.
