Around 50-million cannibal crabs massing on bridges and road in Australia

 Many were left stunned as millions of Christmas Island's red crabs are seen marching their way from the jungle to the coast of the National Park in Western Australia.







This is not the first time the spectacular sight to capture, this is a yearly natural phenomenon that happen every first rainfall of the wet season. Usually it happened every October or November  but sometimes be as late as December or January.



This army of red crabs all over the island leave their homes at the same time and start marching towards the ocean to mate and spawn.












For those who are new to the huge number of crabs that took over on bridges and roads went into panic but for some, its ordinary. They started taking videos and pictures for social media feeds.






The speed of migration is determined by the phase of the moon. But red crabs always spawn before dawn on a receding hide-tide during the last quarter of the moon.




Every year a large number of tourists came over to see the extraordinary natural phenomenon. these crabs are cannibals, so they are considered dangerous.
