Enchong Dee bids goodbye to fans amid cyber libel case issue

The Kapamilya TV show 'Huwag Kang Mangamba' ended on Friday, November 12, and actor Enchong Dee has said goodbye to his role as a priest.

"Maraming Salamat Kapamilya! Hanggang sa muli...mamiss ko kayo #HuwagKangMangamba," said Enchong on his November 13 Twitter post.

Meanwhile, Enchong has keep mum on his cyber libel case filed against him by Representative Claudine "Dendee" Bautista-Lim.

This was due to the supposed alleged "malicious" and "defamatory" statements shared by the actor on his social media platform, following the congresswoman wedding to businessman Jose French Lim last Feb. 20, 2021 in Balesin. The actor later issued an apology to the Congresswoman.

"On news reports regarding my filing of a cyber libel complaint against certain personalities, I would like to clarify that any legal action coming from us was instituted back in August of this year, upon my husband’s insistence and in response to the malicious allegations made against me at that time.

"While I would have preferred to be silent about this matter, my husband, like any good and loving family man, took it upon himself to seek redress from the legal system, to protect me and our family from baseless and damaging claims made against us."

Moreover, the Congresswoman said that she learned about the actor's public apology but maintained it was not sincere.

"He was not sorry to me and for the damage that he has done. He just wants to deflect, albeit unsuccessfully, this criminal charge against him," she said.
