Enchong Dee sued for P1B cyber libel by Claudine Bautista-Lim

Congresswoman and party-list representative of Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) Claudine Diana "Dendee" Bautista formally filed a cyber libel case before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Davao Occidental against actor Enchong Dee.

This was due to the supposed alleged "malicious" and "defamatory" statements shared by the actor on his social media platform, following the congresswoman wedding to businessman Jose French Lim last Feb. 20, 2021 in Balesin. The actor later issued an apology to the Congresswoman.

According to Claudine's complaint, Enchong, "went as far as saying that I used public coffers to fund my wedding by categorically saying that 'The money for commuters and drivers went to her wedding', to the detriment and injury to my honor and name.

"The posts were meant nothing more than their malicious intentions of maligning my person, depicting me as a corrupt public official," it added.

Claudine is seeking moral damages amounting to P500,000,000 and an "exemplary damages" amounting to P500,000,000.

Claudine Bautista was married to her childhood friend Jose French "Tracker" Lim in a civil wedding in Balesin off the coast of Quezon Province. She wore a Michael Cinco gown which earned heavy criticism. But the Congresswoman defended by saying that the wedding was the product of a decade-long planning and hard work by her husband who wanted to give her the best wedding.
