Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is officially running for vice president in the 2022 elections under the Lakas-CMD party.
This follow the withdrawal of Lyle Uy's COC for vice president and named Sara as his substitute.
The Commission on Elections allows the substitution of candidates until November 15. Atty. Charo Munsayac filed Sara's COC on her behalf before the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
"Mayor Sara Duterte through her authorized representative has filed a certificate of candidacy for the position of vice president under Laka-CMD," Munsayac said.
"Mayor Inday Sara will issue her official statement and answer relevant questions in due time," he added.

She filed her COC for the VP post two days after she joined Lakas-CMD.
