Teacher creates more honey dripping art, and we can feel the gummy

Aside from her loved of teaching, this 27-year-old school teacher from Toledo City, Cebu, has also a hidden talent she discovered in the middle of the pandemic.

Bethram Dacuma, who was inspired by renowned painters Mike Dargas and Fabiano Millani picked up her paintbrush and started drawing after she suffered from motorcycle accident.

"Last year, i was in a motorcycle accident. My face was filled with blood. Rather than painting blood, I used honey to remind people that life isn't always easy, but we must appreciate it. Honey flow is unpredictably variable. It’s the same with life. We have no way of knowing what will happen to us the next day. As a result, one must accept it and live in the ‘now," she told Philippine Star.

According to Dacuma her art would normally take about 1-2 weeks to finish. Using oil as her primary medium, her artwork depicts people with honey dripping over their face. Hyperrealistic and intricate, the portraits are so incredibly perfect that you simply can't imagine how she was able to do it.
