Super typhoon Odette or internationally known as "Rai' leaves at least 6 dead in Mandaue City, rendered many roads impassable, power, water and internet connections are down.
Odette made landfall in the area of Carcar City in the south of the province, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Cebu City was bettered with estimated strong winds of 171-220 kph, at Signal No. 4, around 11 p.m. Friday. Among the casualties was the SM Seaside tower with almost half missing cladding seen in a distance.
Some parts of IT park was heavily damaged, strong winds uproots many trees and destroyed Cebu IT Tower. Dramatic photos show the destruction in Cebu caused by heavy rains and winds brought by Typhoon Aodette (Rai).
