Beatriz Pia, a estranged wife of PBA star Terrence Romeo was arrested in an anti-carnapping entrapment operation by the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG).
Beatrice Pia White y Espina was arrested on Monday after a complainants charged her that she rented their cars but failed to return them. She was also charged of estafa, using false names, and technical carnapping.
Along with her is alleged accomplice, Efcel Reyes, who was also arrested after they demanded P80,000 from a car owner to return his vehicle.
"Bale nag-rent sila ng Mitsubishi Mirage...2019 model. Ni-rent nila for P10,000 pero hindi na nila naibalik," Police Lt. Col. Christian dela Cruz of HPG public information office said.
The two are currently being detained at the Special Operations Division as the investigation continue.
The PNP HPG says it has arrested the wife of a prominent PBA player on charges of estafa, use of fake names, and technical carnapping.

San Miguel Beermen guard Terrence Romeo has been married to Pia in April 2017, but they got separated.
