Aljur Abrenica went to explain about the viral photos of him and AJ Raval which circulated online on Valentine's day, where the rumored couple were seen in one of the hotel-resorts in Tanuan, Leyte.
In a virtual interview for his upcoming film Mamasapano: Now It can Be Told, Aljur said that they were invited as guests by a local cooperative to grace the launching of a radio station.
"We were invited sa mga kooperatiba, sa mga cooperatives, sa mga power plants dun, sa DORELCO sa may Leyte," he said.
"We were blessed to grace their inauguration, may bago silang bukas na radio station."
The actor belied about the viral photos of him and AJ at the Haiyan Hotel and Resort on February 14, speculating that they stayed for a few days for a Valentine's Day celebration.
"Yung hotel na yun, nagulat ako, kumain lang kami dun 'ta's nagbihis lang to refresh up para sa show," he explained.
"Syempre, Valentine's, nagkataon lang. Hindi (kami nag-stay dun). Sila lang ang gumawa ng drama na 'yan. Kung anong gusto nilang makita, tingnan nila.
"Pero trabaho po yun, trabaho po yun para sa mga cooperatives," he added.
