APPLE'S RECYCLING ROBOT 'DAISY' CAN DISASSEMBLE HUNDREDS OF iPHONE IN AN HOUR

This Apple's super cool robot named 'Daisy" is capable of disassembling 200 iPhone to recycle its parts in an hour.

During the celebration of Earth Day in 2018, the tech giant introduced Daisy, a robotic arm specifically developed to recycle 1.2 million iPhones per year.

Inside a warehouse in Austin, Texas, Daisy breaks apart iPhones to extract 14 minerals, including lithium and recycled.

Apple is already using recycled tin, cobalt and rare earth minerals in some of its products.

Thanks to YouTuber Sara Dietschy  for sharing to us a closer look at Daisy's amazing job.

Daisy has four different modules to separate the iPhone parts and their different materials. First is responsible for the removal of display; second: separate the battery; third: remove the screws from unit; and fourth: puts all the components and parts to the conveyor belt so that minerals will extracted and refined.
