Ella Cruz became the top trending topic on Twitter over her "history is like tsismis (gossip)" remark.
Cruz who plays Irene Marcos in the up-and-coming film, "Maid in Malacañang," has been the talk of the town of the day for her insight on history.
"History is like tsismis. It is filtered and dagdag na rin, so, hindi natin alam what is the real history. Andoon na iyong idea, pero may mga bias talaga. As long as we're here alive at may kanya0kanyang opinion, I respect everyone's opinion," Cruz said in interview.
"Kasi struggling na eh, last three days! Kahit naman sila struggling even right now, di ba? So, paano kaya iyon na there so much pressure on their side during those times?" She added.
Agot Isidro, meanwhile, who understandably in awe of the remarks gave her advice: "Ella, I love you and you're the sweetest. (Serious ako. She really is.) Next time, puede tayong sumagot ng, 'No comment'. Again, mahal kita."
The Viva Films-produced movie will show the last 72 hours of the Marcoses inside Malacañang before they departed to Hawaii in 1986 when the People Power Revolution happened.
Cesar Montano will be playing the role of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., Ruffa gutirrez as former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, Cristine reyes as Imee, Diego as PBBM, Ella as Irene to Lana Puda as Little Aimee.
