8 DEAD AFTER A DUMP TRUCK PLOWED AN SUV AND MOTORCYCLE IN BATANGAS

 Approximately eight people were killed after a speeding dump truck plowed into a motorcycle and a car on the Nasugbu highway Monday morning.




The Batangas Police identified the dead victims as Eduard Ferrer, driver of a motorcycle, and Hipolito Sangalang, the driver of a car that was plowed by a truck.





Among those who died in the accident were the Santos family in the SUV: Amado Santos-53, Evelyn Santos-53, sons Jerson Santos-26 who is a call center agent, Jayvee Santos-24 an Airman 1- of PAF, Jayvee's partner, Catherine Ampo-24, who is also a call center agent, and their four-month-old baby, Baby Candy. 



Some relatives of the Santos family who had just reunited with them the previous day couldn't believe it. Santos family was going to Pasay when the accident suddenly happened. 




The families, relatives, and friends of those who died in the unexpected event are deeply saddened.




Based on the report, the dump truck driven by Bren Bryan Constantino was traversing the sloping part of the highway under Sitio Lodlod, Barangay Aga when it lost control after overtaking around 4:45 in the morning.









According to the police report, the truck was loaded with sand and was heading in the direction of Nasugbu from Mexico, Pampanga lost its brakes.



Based on the records of the Nasugbu Police, since 2017, at least 15 people have been killed in accidents in the said area, specifically, in the Sitios of Bukaki, Bayabasan, and Lodlod, all covered by Barangay Aga. - Joy Cantos said in an interview
