A BUS FROM CAGAYAN DE ORO BOUND FOR DAVAO FALLS INTO A CLIFF IN MANGIMA, BUKIDNON

A partial casualty report provides that around 6:40 in the evening, August 13, 22, a bus with bus number 2821 from Cagayan de Oro City bound to Davao City fell down the ravine in Sayre highway Mangima Brgy Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.



Initial investigation shows that heavy rain and the bus approaching the blind curve part of the road caused it to fall. 10 passengers sustained minor injuries from the incident. 


They were immediately brought to Manolo Fortich Provincial Hospital, Malaybalay Polymedic Hospital, and Pahilan Doctor's Hospital for further treatment.


As per Director Guro's talk with the Branch Manager of RTMI, only one of the 10 injured passengers was admitted, while the other 9 were outpatients.


The passengers were assisted by the 52nd Brigade Battalion and Manolo Fortich Rescue team.


This office has already sent inspectors to RTMI, Yacapin Branch to talk with its branch manager. The office is currently conducting its investigation regarding the incident to see if there are violations of the terms and conditions of their franchise.
