Leon Edwards has defeated Kamaru Usman in a jaw dropping moment as he delivered an incredible head kick knockout in a last minute Round 5 of the main event of UFC 278, Saturday.
The "Rocky" story of Edwards came to life as the second British champion in the promotion's history, following in Michael Bisping's footstep.
Edwards struggled in the early rounds to build any kind of momentum as Usman dominated with his wrestling and slung heavy boxing style.
But Edward gained momentum in the Round 5 as Usman take it slow, Rocky flicked out a right jab and fired up a left head kick that knocked Usman.
"I said all week I felt like this is my moment. Everything that happened in the past. The last two years, the pandemic. There is no ring rust. I told you, now look at me now," said Edwards on UFC commentator Joe Rogan.
