Kapamilya star Belle Mariano is making history in the entertainment world after she was named the first Filipina to win the Outstanding Asian Star Award at the 17th Seoul International Drama Awards.
The "He's Into Her" lead star bested 175 male and female actors from Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines.
The news was confirmed by Rise Artists Studio of ABS-CBN Films' Talent Management, congratulating the actress.
"Congrats Belle for winning the “OUTSTANDING ASIAN STAR 2022” in the Seoul International Drama Awards. Rise Fam is very proud of you!"
Belle is the first Filipina artist to bagged the award following Alden Richards and Dingdong Dantes in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Belle rose into fame for her hit teen series "He's Into Her" with onscreen partner Donny Pangilinan dubbed as the "New Gen Phenomenal Love Team" of the Philippines. The two were both nominated individually for the Outstanding Asian Star award.
The ceremony will be held in Seoul and broadcast live on KBS 2TV on September 22.
