COOLIO DIES AT AGE 59

 Coolio, the American rapper who's best known for his 1995 song "Gangsta's Paradise" has died in Los Angeles. Artis Leon Ivey Jr. or popularly known as Coolio  is 59 years old.



The news was confirmed by his longtime manager Jarez Posey who told Associated Press. The cause of his death was not clearly mentioned.





Meanwhile, Posey told TMZ that Coolio was found lifeless in the bathroom of a friend's house on Wednesday afternoon.



Coolio started in California for his rap career in the late 80s, but gained global famed in 1995 after he released "Gangsta's Paradise" for the soundtrack of the movie "Dangerous Minds."




Gangsta's Paradise became his signature hit that reached at No. 1 spot on Billboard's Number One song in 1995.


He won the Grammy in the height of his popularity amid facing feud between the hip-hop communities of the two coasts, which would took the lives of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. later after.
