This Senior High School student in Cavite is going viral as he inspires many people for his determination to achieve his goal by selling 'Taho', a Filipino healthy food.
Gurpit Paris D. Singh or known to many as "Gopi" is leaving with her mom together. He is now studying at Tanza National Comprehensive - Senior High School taking up STEM.
Everyday, Gopi, woke up early morning to prepare his two large aluminum buckets hang from each end of a bamboo pole. His mom cook the ingredients such as the soya bean curd and the sago with caramelized sugar ready for his journey to school.
While on his way to school sported with his white school uniform, Gopi, started offering his 'Taho' until he will reached his school. He will then continue to sell his product during break time and when he will go back to his home. This is the life of Gopi almost everyday, there's no time for hanging around just like any other kids will do.
"There is nothing to be ashamed of sa ginagawa ko. I am doing a honest job without harnming anybody else. My parents, teacher and classmates are very supportive," said Gopi with Cavite TV.
"Life is like a math as there is always a solution to every problem. I only wish na sana yung mga taong going through hardships or problems in life will be able to find their solutions to solve their problems, and be happy including me," he added.
With his positive outlook in life Gopi's story took social media attention and he earned lots of praised among netizens.
A group or individual have extended help for Gopi. He received cash donations from friends, grocery items and am E-bike with sidecar to help him for his daily journey.
"Magagamit nya itong bagong E-bike sa pagtitinda nya ng taho. Hindi na siya mahihirapan pang magbuhat. Magagamit din niya ito pagpasok sa eskwela," said Mike Ivander Presa.
Another donor said: "Itong cash donation magagamit nya sa pangangailangan nya sa mga gastusin sa bahay at eskwela. Itong grocery item naman para sa kanilang mag-ina. Sa maliit na paraan man lang ay makatulong kami kay Gopi. Isa siyang huwarang anak at estudyante," according to Renz Mateo.
