Just hours after he surrendered at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Monday. September 19, TV host Vhong Navarro seemed to face another charges after a second warrant of arrest was filed by Deniece Cornejo, this time for the rape case.

The Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69 issued the arrest warrant dated September 19 noted that the case is non-bailable under Article 266-A(1) of the revised Penal Code as amended by The Anti-Rape Law of 1997.

On separate charges, Navarro surrendered earlier to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)  after Branch 116 of the Metropolitan Trial Court of Taguig City also issued an arrest warrant against him after it finds probable cause to hold the TV host for trial for acts of lasciviousness previously filed by Cornejo.

Atty. Alma Mallonga earlier expressed confidence that her client will be released as soon as possible for a recommended P36,000 bail.

"Palagay ko hindi naman magkakaroon ng problema dahil kumpleto ang mga prerequisite (I don't think there will be a problem because we have completed all the prerequisites)," she said. "We are going to comply with it within the day. We are confident that Mr. Navarro will be granted bail."

The case was related to an incident on January 22, 2014, where Navarro got injured after allegedly attack by a group which included model-stylist Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee.
