An open letter posted on Reddit with an account name r/OffmychestPh becomes the talk of social media, where a woman shared a story about her ex-fiancé who cheated her died and forgot to remove her as beneficiary on P1 million life insurance.
"My ex forgot to remove me as the beneficiary of his life insurance policy. I am keeping 1M and I don't care", an unknown person began.
She said they were together for 5 years and got engaged. After getting engaged, they got life insurance policies so, they were each other's beneficiaries.
Six months before their wedding she learned that her fiancé has cheated on her. But because she love him so much, she forgave his fiancé and start the trust a new. She wanted to treasure their five years of being together and considering that they were also engaged.
Little did she know her fiancé continue his romance with other woman, and suddenly, "...two months before the wedding, he left me for the girl he cheated on me with", she stated.
She added, "Halos mabaliw ako. I begged him to come back, I begged the girl to let him go. She was in her early twenties and had her whole life ahead of her. I was in my thirties and felt that my ex was my last chance. Sabi lang ng ex ko tigilan ko na siya kase hindi na niya ako mahal".
A year later, the woman changed her beneficiaries and she thinks her ex-fiancé did it too. Until she got the news that his ex-fiancé died.
"I was shocked because it was out of the blue", she said.
But, she was shocked when her ex's sister called her and told her that she was still the beneficiary of the insurance policy and she'll get 1 million in the payout.
