LEILA DE LIMA SAFE AFTER SHE WAS HELD HOSTAGE IN CAMP CRAME

 Three inmates who held hostage Former Sen. Leila de Lima was killed inside the custodial center of the Philippine National Police at Camp Crame in Quezon City early Sunday.



Authorities declared De Lima safe from high-risk inmates who is said to be a member of the Abu Sayyaf Group following their attempt to escape.



The incident happened around 6:30 A.M. when Corporal Roger Agustin was delivering food at the maximum compound was stabbed and held hostage by the three inmates. One of the police noticed the incident and issued a warning, but the suspects continued to stab Agustin, forcing officer to shoot them.




The three inmates are identified as Arnel Cabintoy, Idang Susukan, and Feliciano Sulayao Jr.



Sulayao was able to to run away and headed to the cell of De Lima and held her hostage.




Members of the Special Action Force immediately responded to the scene and neutralized Sulayao.



Immediately, PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr. ordered an investigation as to how the inmates were able to obtain an improvised knife and to find out all the circumstances.



"Tension inside the detention facility has been defused and the situation has returned to normal while investigation is ongoing to review the security protocols inside the PNP Custodial," said Azurin.
