ARIEL RIVERA, GELLI DE BELEN'S SONS' BIKO BUSINESS IS A HIT TO FILIPINOS AND LOCALS IN CANADA

Celebrity couple Gelli de Belen and Ariel Rivera are supportive parents to their two boys' biko business in Canada.

Joaquin and Julio Rivera was inspired by the original recipe of Ariel's father, they called it Lolo Ben's Biko.

Gelli's sons' explain why they started the business and how they prepared the famous Filipino delicacy. Joaquin told her mom that they wanted a source of extra income by making and selling the biko, which comes in original plain and with jackfruit.

"We got this from Lolo Ben. This is his recipe that we're been using to sell our biko. Julio originally learned it a few years ago while lolo was around. He's been doing it ever since," said Joaquin in Gelli's vlog.

They sell it mostly in Greater Toronto Area, the boys announced, but currently they temporarily stopped due to their busy schedule in school.

"It is fulfilling actually to be able to give a part of us, our family to other people for them to enjoy. I'd like to hear feedback from other people. It's almost like an extension of lolo's legacy," continued Joaquin.

The supportive parents also help the boys in preparing and cooking the biko every time they visit them in Canada. In Gelli's vlog, Ariel can even seen stirring the biko while Gelli helped in putting on the topping called 'latik'.

"I enjoy it. Parang it makes me feel proud that people like this 'cause this is lolo's recipe," said Julio, which was later agreed by his kuya, "We have more pride because it's lolo's (recipe)."
