IRISH MAE PAYONGA: ATENEO DE NAGA CALLS FOR PRAYERS, JUSTICE FOR THE DEATH OF SENIOR HIGH STUDENT

 Parents of Irish Mae Payonga, a grade 12 student of Ateneo de naga  University (AdNU) who went missing on Friday, October 28, was found lifeless in Camarines Sur.



Her body was discovered inside a sack at a grassy lot in Pili, Camarines Sur.




"We received the soul crushing news of the discovery of Irish Mae M. Payonga's lifeless body in Brgy. Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur. Irish Mae, an Ateneo de Naga Senior High School grade 12 student, had been missing since the evening of October 28," AdNU president Fr. Roberto Rivera said in a statement posted on the university's Facebook page.


"We express our solidarity with her bereaved family and friends during this time of unspeakable grief," he added.



According to Rivera, he assured the mother of the 18-year-old the full support of the Ateneo community as he spoke to the grieving mother.



Added that the mother asked  for prayers and justice for her daughter.



"And so we pray, most fervently for the eternal repose of Irish Mae and the consolation of her loved ones," said Rivera.



Irish Mae was last seen on a bus to Pili, Camarines Sur last Friday, wearing maong pants, jacket, a black shirt, and white rubber shoes. Here body was found after three days.



Meanwhile, a possible suspect was under police custody.
