NEW ZEALANDER TOURIST KILLED IN MAKITA AFTER DEFENDING GF TO ROBBERS

34-year-old Nick Stacey from New Zealand was shot dead after he attempted to resist a robbery declared by a motorcycle-riding men on Sunday night while out walking with his girlfriend shortly after midnight in Makati.


The National Capital Region Police are still in search to the culprits who still to identify.
 
 




Reports said Stacey was with his girlfriend, Pamela Villanoza, walking along Filmore Street in Barangay Palanan when the assailants riding a motorcycle approached them and declared a hold-up with one at a gun point at Stacey's girlfriend.





"The victim then intervened and tried to grab the assailant's weapon. But the suspect fired the gun and hit the victim's left side chest," quoted at ABS-CBN report.


The robbers are then said to have taken Stacey's girlfriend's phone and wallet before fleeing the area.





"We regret to report this incident and extend our sympathy to the bereaved family," Major General Estomo said in a  statement.


Adding that he had ordered an immediate and thorough investigation to the incident, admitting that Stacey's death could stir fear among other tourists.
