Several people was injured after a steel beam of a new food park in Barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City collapsed on Sunday night.
According to one of the owner of the food stall, everything happened so fast. Luckily there was a doctor at the scene who helped the injured victims.
The incident happened few minutes after the city's mayor left the place to grace the opening.
The food park structure was made of steel beams and plastic. The place was also experiencing downpour the time it happen.
At least nine individuals suffered minor injuries as they were brought to the hospital for treatment.
No casualties being recorded.
