The Philippines will bring back home a gold medal in men's basketball from the Asian Games as Gilas Pilipinas got payback on Jordan, 70-60, to rule on Friday in Hangzhou, China.
Once more Justin Brownlee drove from the front and got key help from Ange Kouame and Chris Newsome as Gilas regain victory from a 87-62 loss to Jordan in the qualifier.
The last time the Philippines won a gold medal in the Asian Games was in 1962, when it crushed China to cop its fourth consecutive crown in the mainland competition.
