Malik Monk's Clutch Shot Lifts Kings to Victory over Warriors

Malik Monk banked in a tough 13-foot jumper with 7.4 seconds left to lift the Sacramento Kings to a 124-123 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, securing the West Group C title for the Kings in the NBA in-season tournament.

The win was fueled by DeAaron Fox, who scored a game-high 29 points for the Kings. Fox also had 10 assists and six rebounds.

Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins each scored 29 points for the Warriors, who could have forced a three-way tie for first place in the group with a win. However, Golden State lost Chris Paul and Gary Payton II to leg injuries during the game, and the team struggled without their two key players.

The Warriors led by as many as 24 points in the first half, but the Kings outscored them 69-51 in the second half to come back and win the game.

Malik Monk's clutch shot was the final play in a wild game that saw the lead change hands several times. The Kings will now host the New Orleans Pelicans in the tournament quarterfinals on Monday.
