Manila, Philippines – ABS-CBN Entertainment and Viu are partnering to bring the beloved Korean romantic-comedy series “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” to Filipino viewers. The webtoon-based series was a huge hit in South Korea when it aired in 2018, and it has also gained a loyal following worldwide.
The Philippine adaptation of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” will star Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino as Secretary Kim and Mr. Vice-Chairman, respectively. The roles were originally played by Park Min-young and Park Seo-joon in the Korean version.
The series will be produced by award-winning Dreamscape Entertainment, and it will be the third adaptation of a top-rating international format between ABS-CBN and Viu. The two networks previously collaborated on the Philippine adaptations of “The Broken Marriage Vow” and “Flower of Evil”.

“What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” is a heartwarming story about a narcissistic vice-chairman of a major corporation and his highly competent secretary of many years. When the secretary announces her resignation, the vice-chairman will do everything he can to keep her by his side. In the process, they will start to develop romantic feelings for each other.
The Philippine adaptation of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” is expected to premiere in 2024.
