The 40-year-old secured the coveted title at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino, defeating Japan's Naoyuki Oi in a thrilling five-set battle (4-1, 3-4, 4-2, 4-1).
This momentous victory marks Biado's first reign in the prestigious $250,000 tournament, etching his name as the first Filipino male champion. The triumph adds another glittering trophy to his already impressive collection, which includes the 2022 WPA World Mixed Teams 10-Ball Championship crown (shared with Johann Chua and Rubilen Amit), the 2021 US Open 9-Ball title, and the 2017 WPA World 9-Ball Championship.
