Islay Erika Bomogao, a Filipina Muay Thai sensation, has ascended to the top of the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations (IFMA) rankings for female elite athletes in the 45 kg division.
Hailing from Benguet, Bomogao's recent victory over Australian Muay Thai state champion Sarah Kwa in Kenwick, Australia, solidified her status as the first Filipina Muay Thai world champion.
The University of Baguio, her alma mater, expressed its pride and congratulated Bomogao on her remarkable achievement.
