GoPro Hero 13 Black Unveiled with Interchangeable Lenses

GoPro's latest flagship action camera, the Hero 13 Black, has been unveiled, featuring a larger battery and interchangeable lenses. The camera was officially launched yesterday at a retail price of $400.

Building upon the capabilities of its predecessor, the Hero 13 Black boasts an ultra-slow motion capture of 400 frames per second at 720p, with a 15-second recording limit. It also maintains the previous model's maximum recording resolution of 5.3K, allowing for slow motion capture at 120 frames per second for up to 5 seconds.

Beyond GPS, the Hero 13 Black offers Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), enabling you to overlay telemetry data on your footage. The camera's most exciting feature is the availability of three new smart HB-Series lenses: Ultra-wide Lens, Macro Lens, and Anamorphic Lens. These lenses are sold separately for $100 each.

With this versatile lens selection, you can capture footage in aspect ratios ranging from 1:1 to 21:9, depending on your chosen lens. The Hero 13 Black also features WiFi6 and Bluetooth compatibility, allowing for seamless connection to AirPods or other wireless headphones.
