Rita Daniela Accuses "Widow's War" Co-Star Archie Alemania of Sexual Harassment

 Kapuso actress Rita Daniela has filed a formal complaint against her "Widow's War" co-star, Archie Alemania, for acts of lasciviousness. The complaint was lodged with the Office of the City Prosecutor in Bacoor City on Wednesday, October 30.

In her affidavit, Daniela detailed a disturbing incident where Alemania allegedly made unwanted advances and physical contact. She described how he touched her without consent and made inappropriate remarks.

“That being a public figure, a contractual artist with reputation to protect, it is very difficult for me to file the instant case but the trauma I was and am experiencing brought about by the incident gave me courage to face the consequences and file the instant case against the respondent,” her complaint read. 

 

The incident reportedly occurred during a car ride, where Alemania allegedly caressed Daniela's shoulder and neck. When they reached her home, he persisted in his advances, forcefully grabbing her hand and attempting to kiss her. Daniela resisted his attempts but was ultimately subjected to unwanted physical contact.

A screenshot of a message exchange between the two, where Daniela expressed her discomfort and Alemania apologized, citing intoxication, has been included as evidence.

As of this writing, Alemania has not publicly addressed the allegations.

Daniela, a well-known actress and singer, rose to fame as a child star on the reality show "Popstar Kids." She has since starred in numerous television series, including "My Special Tatay," "One of the Baes," and "Ang Dalawang Ikaw." She is currently a host on the popular variety show "All Out Sundays."

Alemania is married to Gee Canlas and has two children.
