Brandon Ramirez Joins NLEX Road Warriors

The PBA continues to reap the rewards of the burgeoning MPBL talent pool, as the NLEX Road Warriors have signed rookie center Brandon Ramirez to a two-year deal.

Ramirez, a key player for the back-to-back MPBL champion Pampanga Giant Lanterns, joins his former teammates Justine Baltazar (Converge) and Kurt Reyson (Meralco) in making the leap to the professional league.

The 6-foot-5 Ramirez, selected 18th overall in the recent PBA Draft by NLEX, impressed during his time with the Giant Lanterns, contributing significantly to their dominant run in the MPBL. His signing signifies the growing influence of the regional league in nurturing and developing top-tier basketball talent.

Ramirez was formally welcomed to the NLEX fold by team governor Ronald Dulatre, along with other key officials. His addition to the Road Warriors roster is expected to provide a boost to their frontcourt depth and further bolster their aspirations for success in the upcoming PBA Commissioner's Cup.

This move underscores the increasing synergy between the PBA and the MPBL, with the latter serving as a vital breeding ground for future PBA stars. As more and more MPBL players make the jump to the professional league, the future of Philippine basketball looks bright with a steady influx of talented and skilled players.
