John Amores' PBA Career Ends After Shooting Incident

The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) has effectively ended the professional basketball career of NorthPort player John Amores by revoking his license. This decision follows Amores' involvement in a shooting incident in Laguna, with GAB citing "conduct unbecoming of a professional player" as the basis for their action.

The incident, which occurred in September, involved an altercation during a basketball game. Amores and his brother were subsequently charged with attempted homicide. While out on bail, Amores had already been suspended by the PBA for one conference without pay due to the incident.

This is not the first time Amores has faced disciplinary action. In 2022, he was involved in a violent on-court incident during an NCAA game, resulting in his suspension from the league and expulsion from his university.

The revocation of Amores' license effectively bars him from participating in any professional basketball game sanctioned by GAB, bringing a likely premature end to his career.
