The highly-anticipated winner-take-all Game 3 of the UAAP Season 87 Junior High School basketball tournament finals between the University of the East Junior Warriors and the University of Santo Tomas Tiger Cubs has been rescheduled.
In an official announcement on Tuesday afternoon, the UAAP revealed that the decisive championship game will now be held on Friday, December 20, at 10 AM, at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan. The game was originally slated for Wednesday, December 18, but due to venue unavailability, the league was forced to make the adjustment.
The series is currently tied at 1-1. The Tiger Cubs opened the finals with a dominant 98-84 victory in Game 1 on December 11, but the Junior Warriors bounced back with a 76-70 win in Game 2 on December 15.
The Junior Warriors are on a mission to end their 39-year title drought across all UAAP divisions. A championship victory would be a historic moment for the program. On the other hand, the Tiger Cubs are aiming to secure their first UAAP high school basketball title since Season 74 (2001).
With the series tied and the stakes high, basketball fans are eagerly anticipating the rescheduled Game 3. The winner of this crucial match will be crowned the UAAP Season 87 Junior High School basketball champions.
