Lenovo has officially opened pre-orders for its latest handheld gaming console, the Legion Go S, in the Philippines. With its powerful hardware, ergonomic design, and gaming-focused features, the Legion Go S is set to make waves in the handheld gaming market.
Key Features of the Legion Go S.

The Lenovo Legion Go S boasts an 8-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. This ensures smooth gameplay and vibrant visuals, whether you're racing through tracks or engaging in fast-paced shooters. The device follows a traditional handheld layout, complete with an Xbox-style button arrangement and adaptive trigger locks, which are particularly useful for racing and shooting games.

Under the hood, the Legion Go S is powered by a custom AMD Ryzen Z2 Go processor, featuring Zen 3 CPU cores and AMD RDNA 2 graphics with 12 compute units. This powerful combination ensures that the device can handle modern games with ease. It comes equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB M.2 2280 SSD, with support for expandable storage via a microSD card slot.
Battery and Cooling

The Legion Go S is equipped with a 3-cell 55.5 WHr battery, which supports 65W USB-C charging. To keep the device cool during intense gaming sessions, Lenovo has included a built-in cooling system to prevent thermal throttling. Additionally, the device features dual front-firing speakers for an immersive audio experience.
Connectivity and Software

In terms of connectivity, the Legion Go S supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and features two USB-C 4.0 ports with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0 support. It also includes a 3.5mm audio jack for wired headphones. The device runs on Windows 11 Home, with a Steam OS variant expected to arrive in May 2025, offering gamers more flexibility in their operating system choices.

Pricing and Availability

The Lenovo Legion Go S is priced at PHP 44,995 and is now available for pre-order at select retailers, including SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Makati, SM City Bacoor, SM City Clark, and Gaisano Mall of Davao. As an added incentive, the first 30 customers who pre-order the device will receive a FREE Legion Go USB-C Dock, worth PHP 3,699. A 30% deposit is required to join the promotion.
