In Photos: "Badjao Girl" in a complete makeover

Rita Gabiola, known for the many as "Badjao Girl," is in complete makeover, looks like a professional model. The 13-year-old was first photographed by Lucena City-based photographer Topher Quinto Burgos on May 15 during the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban town in Quezon province.

The new Rita Gabiola is looking like a supermodel which surfaced online Sunday night, after it was shown in an episode of ABS-CBN's "Rated K."

James Christopher Domingo posted three photos of Gabiola on his personal Facebook page. 

 Rita is the second among six children. Her father works as a fisherman, while her mother is a housewife.

 His father, Danny, works hard to send her to school, despite the hardships they experience. " Ang pangarap ko talaga kay Rita, itagayod 'yan, kahit sa isang beses isang araw kami kumain. Kahit walng baon, papasok ka na lang, basta ang pangarap ko sa 'yo, patapusin kita," he said.

The local government of Lucena City also pledge to provide her family with a job. She also received a scholarship from "Rated K" and Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation.
