Steph Curry will play Game 7, fined $25K for throwing mouthpiece

Manila, Philippines - No more worries for the fans of the Golden State Warriors star player Stephen Curry, he will be playing Game 7 of the NBA Finals after being ejected form Game 6 for throwing his mouthpiece.

Curry will be fine $25,000 USD for throwing his mouthpiece to a fan, after fouling out with 4:22 left to play on Thursday, June 6, according to a league statement. \the mouthpiece struck a courtside observer, after which Curry apologized and shook hands with the man.

The NBA most likely deemed that Curry's action in throwing the mouthpiece is not intentional, which multiple replays seem to confirm.

So the league followed its own precedent in disciplining Curry, who's now $25,000 lighter but will be allowed to play on Sunday.

"I've thrown my mouthpiece before. I usually aim at the score's table. I was off aim.Definitely didn't mean to throw it at a fan," Curry said after the game.

Warrioirs head coach Steve Kerr also was hit with a fine of the same amount for criticizing the officiating of the game, which the Warriors lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers by 14, 115-101.

Kerr said after the game that 3 of Curry's fouls were "ticky-tack fouls" which shouldn't have been called.
"He had every right to be upset. He's the MVP of the league. He gets six fouls called on him, three of themwere absolutely ridiculous," Kerr added.
