Manhunt operation against army reservist Vhon Tanto, suspect in Quiapo shooting road rage

Manila, Philippines - Manhunt operation for the road rage shooting suspect has been ordered by the Manila Police District(MPD). The suspect was identified as Vhon Tanto, a Philippine Army reservist suspect in a road rage shooting incident in Quiapo, Manila on Monday night.

Senior  Supt. Joel Coronel, acting director of Manila Police District (MPD) the manhunt order was made after the deadline it has imposed for Tanto to surrender lapsed at 5:00 op.m. on Wednesday.

Coronel still appealed to Tanto to surrender himself and explain his side properly.

The suspect is now facing raps for murder and illegal possession of firearms, as he doesn't have any permit to carry these based on a report from Camp Crame.

Tanto,an Army reservist with the rank of private is now at large after shooting dead Mark Vincent Geralde in P. Casal, Quiapo following a heated spat and brawl on Monday night.

Geralde allegedly came into blows with Tanto after the latter's car, a red Hyundai Eon, accidentally bumped the victim's bicycle.
