4 past presidents meets for NSC meeting in Malacanang

Manila, Philippines - For the first time in the history President Rodrigo Duterte and the Four past presidents of the Philippines together with government officials joined a National Security Council meeting in Malacanang on Wednesday.

In his photo shared by Communications Secretary martin Andanar, Duterte was sitting in front of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Fidel Ramos, Joseph Estrada and Benigno Aquino III.

The NSC is a collegial body chaired by the President and composed of at least 35 leader-members from the executive and legislative branches of government.

President Duterte convened the NSC to discuss vital policies and strategies on important matters, including the recent ruling of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in favor of the Philippines arbitration case against China on the West Philippine Sea dispute.
