Kachin, Myanmar - A huge jade stone was found by miners in Myanmar, the 18 ft jade stone weighing 175 tonnes is estimated to be USD 170 million. According to BBC news, the near-translucent green stone measures 4.3 meters (14 feet) high, and 5.8 meters (19 feet) long was discovered in the state of Kachin, in the north of the country.

"We thought we had won the lottery. But this belongs to the country. It is in honor of our leaders," said Sao Min, a 44 year old miner.

"The jade stone is as big as two small houses that are 9-foot-square. I assume that it is a present for the fate for our citizens, the government and out party as it was discovered in the time of our government. It's a very good sign for us," said U Tint Soe, a local politician.

Burma was known to for the source of nearly all the world's finest jadeite - which is responsible for almost half of the country's GDP.
