Tawag ng Tanghalan champion Noven Belleza was arrested recently in Cebu city after he performed as a guest in a concert Pusuan Mo Si Vice Ganda in Cebu last Saturday, July 15 in IC3 Convention Center.
Belleza was earlier detained in Mabolo Police Station and released after posting a bail P120,000 on alleged sex assault. The 22-year old Belleza was released about 2 pm on Wednesday, report said that Regional Trial Court Branch 7 has not set the arraignment of the case.
The Freeman reported that the incident happened in early morning of July 15 inside the condo unit where Belleza was staying. The 19-year-old victim, who happens to be Belleza's friend is also a local performer in Cebu. The victim claimed that Belleza physically hurt him when she tried to stop him from making advances.
Belleza is a rice farmer from Negros Occidental was named grand champion in last March's Tawag ng Tanghalan, a talent search aired on ABS-CBN's noontime program "Showtime."
