His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai attended the maiden flight of the emirates Autonomous Air Taxi (AAT).
This will be the first self-flying air taxi service, introduced by Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA), capable of transporting people.

The test offered only a partial look to the new system of transportation in Dubai but its ultimate goal was to fly up to 30-minutes trip with actual people inside.
The air taxi will be available to the public through a smartphone app that will allow customers to book flights and track the route of the AAT.
The two-seater AAT is supplied by Volocopter, a Germany-based manufacturer of autonomous air vehicles. Volocopter says it is expected to launch the taxi service within five years.
