As promised by China, the Philippines is now receiving 47 heavy equipments donated by China. The forty-seven sets of heavy equipments including excavators, wheel loader, dump trucks, cement mixers, compactors, track-type tractors, bulldozers and a container van donated by the Chinese government for the rehabilitation of Marawi.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar revealed. He added that the equipment are part of the Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Program.
“Our priority is to make sure that roads and bridges are in place such that there is smooth access of Marawi and its nearby towns,” Villar said.
