Around 380,000 customers of British Airways financial data was hacked

BA reported that personal details of their customers had been stolen in a data breach between 21 August and 5 September and was disclosed on Wednesday.




The airline immediately launched an investigation regarding the incident and all customers affected by the breach had been contacted on Thursday night. The breach only affects people who bought tickets during the time frame provided by BA, and not on other occasions.

"The personal and financial details of customers making booking on our website and app were compromised. The breach has been resolved and our website is working normally. We have notified the police and relevant authorities," British Airways said quoted by Inquirer.

"We are 100% committed to compensate them, period, "Mr Cruz told the BBC's. British Airways has issued apology about the malicious data breach.
