Manila - The Philippines will going to receive two Cobra attack helicopters from Jordan, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher "Bong" Go said.
The two helicopters are expected to be delivered by July next year after the training of the Filipino pilots, he added. The matter was discussed during the bilateral meeting of President Rodrigo Duterte and Jordan King Abdullah II, Go added.
The three-day official visit of the President Rodrigo Duterte in the Kingdom of Jordan created five bilateral agreements which includes defense and labor.
The helicopters from Jordan which includes spare parts are expected to strengthen the military's drive against terrorism. King Abdullah is known for his strong stance against terrorism.
