Two Bacolod City Councilors Fistfight During Session Caught On Cam

These would be a peaceful session for the members of Bacolod City council when a fistfight occured involving two councilors.

According to the local news, Councilors Jesus Claudio "Kalaw" Puentevella and Dindo Ramos had engaged in a heated discussion over the proposed construction of a sanitary landfill in Barangay Felisa.

In the video shared in Facebook page, it could be seen Councilor Claudio Puentevella, son of former mayor and Rep. Monico Puentevella stood up and approached Ramos with a punch. The proposed contract involves a garbage hauler IPM Construction and Development Corp. 



Ramos announced that he's going to file a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman against Puentevella's behavior.

Caesar Distrito, chairman of SP Committee on laws, ordinance and good governance has expressed his disappointment over the incident.

"It was unprecedented. there were instances of shouting before but there was no physical violence among members of the council," he said.
