All 67 Passengers of distress MV South Pacific Ship grounded in Danajon, Bohol are safe

All the 67 passengers of distress MV South Pacific Ship are safe. The Facebook page Superbalita Cebu reported that MV South Pacific has been involved in an accident while carrying 67 passengers onboard. The vessel was originally came from Bat, Leyte heading to Sugbo when it was suddenly grounded along Danajon Bank, Bohol.


PCG7 operations chief LTJG Mike Encina said that the incident invloving MV South Pacific happened around 1 am on Tuesday early morning(October 9, 2018).


Passengers were given some medical assistance from coastguard medical team.

The authorities now is conducting investigations regarding the incident and found negative of oil spill in the area.
