Manila, Philippines - One of the long-serving spokesperson of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has stepped down from the team after accidentally showed on screen a photo of the sexy actress during the 'source code review" launch on Saturday at De La Salle University in Manila.
The source code is the "master blueprint" of the vote-counting machines that will be used in the elections, the rappler reported. This is somewhat like a operating system.
"There was a small technical issue involving flashing of a photo which was inappropriate for the event," He said in the media.
He didn't name the sexy personality but according to GMA News, the actress is Jessy Mendiola, who, once top the FHM poll.
Jimenez apologized for the mistake.
"I take responsibility and I apologize. I regret it. Because of that I resigned as a focal person for the local source code review," He added.
Jimenez said that he acknowledge the matter for the "transparency and overall credibility of the institution I serve."
