Destructive tornado spotted sweeping through village of West Java Province Indonesia

Indonesia once again has been challenged by another natural power which is recovering from a deadly tsunami. A huge tornado appeared sweeping through Indonesian village in Cirebon in West Java province on Sunday, Dec. 31, killing one person and damage to properties.



The powerful tornado have reportedly damaged 165 houses in the area. "The puting beliung"(tornado), which took place at around 3:30pm local time, had caused blackouts in most parts of the area," National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPS) spokespersonSutopo Purwao Nugroho Twitted.




The tornado also caused damage in two prayer rooms. Authorities is handling the situation by coordinating with local authorities, village leaders and bringing humanitarian volunteers.

Electric company have continued to work for the damaged grids and to bring back the power to the earliest time.
