New Year is another year that we all look forward. A year of something new; to set our goals. Like the Kagay-anons, it would be the start of a new beginning for them.
Today, is the start of "No Plastic" implementation throughout the City of Cagayan de Oro.
The regulation is in accordance with Article IX, Section 30 of the City Ordinance No. 13378-2018 "Integrated Ecobiological Solid Waste Management Ordinance of Cagayan de Oro.
It is started in this ordinance that no establishments and vendors will use plastic bags or any other forms of packing materials for dry goods or cooked food.
Consumers are also advised to bring their eco-friendly bags, or any reusable bags for buying goods in the market or grocery stores.
However, there are stillother forms of plastic bags that will be allowed by the local government. These are the plastic bags with no handle fro wrapping meat products, marine products, fruits and vegetables to ensure food safety.
